Meet Kerry – Founder of Listening 2 U Training
Kerry is the founder of Listening 2 U Training and brings a wealth of experience in the mental health field. With over 10 years of service in the public sector, she has worked with a wide range of organisations, including the NHS, Lincolnshire County Council, Police, MAPPA (Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements), and Circles – a programme focused on reducing sexual offending in partnership with criminal justice agencies.
Kerry is a qualified teacher and visiting lecturer at both colleges and universities. She is an Accredited Mental Health Counsellor, provides clinical supervision to other mental health professionals, and is a qualified and authorised trainer in Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
Listening 2 U was established in 2012, as Kerry qualified as a mental health counsellor. Since then, the organisation has grown significantly, supporting individuals and communities locally in Lincoln, across the UK, and globally.
In recognition of her work in mental health and suicide prevention during the pandemic, Kerry received the Global Unsung Hero Award, highlighting her unwavering commitment to supporting others during one of the most challenging times in recent history.
