What is ASIST?
ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) is a two-day, evidence-based workshop that teaches participants to:
- Identify when someone may be at risk of suicide
- Understand factors that contribute to suicidal thoughts
- Work collaboratively with the person to develop a safety plan
- Connect them with ongoing community and professional support
The training provides a practical, structured model that empowers attendees to respond confidently and compassionately in real-world situations.

Anyone aged 16 or over can attend. You do not need prior experience in mental health or suicide prevention.
