Improving Social Connections course

Listening 2 U is proud to announce that they have now written their own Improving Social Connections course.

This training is held over 4 hours.

The Improving Social Connections course is a 4-hour experiential workshop focused on helping individuals build stronger, more meaningful relationships in their personal and professional lives. Grounded in psychological research and social science, the course begins by exploring the importance of human connection for overall well-being and resilience. Participants examine their own connection styles, reflect on where they feel most connected in life, and uncover internal and external barriers that may be limiting their relationships.

Through a combination of group discussions, self-reflection, and interactive activities, the workshop encourages participants to practice essential connection skills such as deep listening, empathy, curiosity, and consistency. Special attention is given to the impact of digital communication and social media, offering opportunities to evaluate how these tools help or hinder connection. Participants also map out their social networks to identify current sources of support and areas where connection can be deepened or repaired.

By the end of the session, attendees set personal goals using tools like the “Stop – Start – Continue” reflection and commitment cards. They leave with a clearer understanding of how to cultivate supportive relationships, the confidence to take small, actionable steps, and a renewed appreciation for the power of genuine human connection.

A certificate will be issues on completion as proof of attendance and hours.
