Ripples In Families

Ripples in Families was founded in 2022 to provide compassionate, confidential support for families affected by the arrest or conviction of a family member for a sexual offence. The project helps individuals navigate the complex emotions, stigma, and challenges that ripple through families during this difficult time, offering a safe space for understanding, healing, and connection.

What can we offer?

Phone work

We offer flexible check-in support sessions, available weekly or fortnightly, giving you space to talk openly about whatever’s on your mind. Each session lasts 30 to 50 minutes, providing a safe, confidential environment to reflect, reduce stress, and receive compassionate guidance tailored to your needs.

Counselling

If you meet the criteria for our service, we can provide up to seven counselling sessions, including one assessment and six therapy sessions. Counselling is available face to face, online or by phone, offering flexible support to suit your needs. We kindly ask for a small donation per session to help cover costs.

To help us understand your situation and how it has impacted your family, Ripples in Families asks that a referral form be completed. This can be done by phone or email, and referrals are accepted from professionals or individuals through self-referral.

Once we receive your referral, a member of our team will contact the family directly to discuss their needs and identify the most suitable support options.
