This is Milo our therapy dog.
Milo is our friendly 8-year-old Labradoodle therapy dog in training, already making a meaningful difference in the lives of clients at Listening 2 U. His gentle, playful nature helps create a sense of calm, comfort, and emotional safety for those experiencing anxiety, depression, or stress. Milo brings warmth and connection into therapy sessions, helping clients relax and feel at ease. He has even provided emotional support in court settings, demonstrating his instinctive empathy and dedication to helping others. As part of his therapy dog training, Milo is positively reinforced with his favourite toy, a ball, which keeps his learning enjoyable and engaging. We’re proud to have Milo as a valued member of our team and look forward to watching him continue his journey toward becoming a fully qualified, compassionate therapy companion. Barney
Barney is the youngest and most energetic member of the Listening 2 U team. At just 2 years old, he’s already full of personality, curiosity, and affection, showing great promise as a future therapy dog.
When he’s old enough, Barney will begin his official Pets As Therapy (PAT) training, preparing to offer emotional support and companionship across a range of settings, including counselling sessions, care environments, and community spaces. Even at this young age, Barney demonstrates natural empathy and an instinct for providing comfort. His calm presence and playful spirit help people feel relaxed and uplifted, making him the perfect therapy dog. He loves making new friends, being stroked, and bringing smiles to everyone he meets. We’re excited to watch Barney grow, learn, and continue developing into a confident, caring, and compassionate therapy companion. Both Milo and Barney are hypoallergenic therapy dogs, meaning they don’t shed their coats. This makes them ideal companions for clients with allergies or sensitivities.
